Four cities, one road

We begin in Casablanca, to ease gently into the rhythm of the journey, and then head to Fez, with its ancient madrasas and maze-like medina.
Next comes Chefchaouen, a town where walls, doors and shadows play in hundreds of shades of blue, and then Marrakech, where the route ends: gardens, markets and the warmth of the riads.
Nine days, and you live four different Moroccos: modern, blue, handcrafted and full of gardens.
From the tanneries of Fez to the Majorelle Garden in Marrakech: these contrasts shape the character of the country.

Riads and Moroccan cuisine

We arrange every drive, transfer and booking, so all you have to do is wander the medinas and soak up the atmosphere.
A comfortable Mercedes Sprinter takes us along the route, and one stretch we cover by first-class train: around 6.5–7 hours of a quiet carriage and Moroccan landscapes outside the window.
The Moroccan cooking class takes place in a cosy, authentic setting: spices, tagine and fresh salads, and at the end, one shared table with everything you have cooked yourselves.

The Moroccan hammam

A traditional Moroccan hammam is optional, but it is one of the most atmospheric parts of the programme, and you can fit it into your free time in Marrakech.
It is a ritual of cleansing and relaxation that goes back hundreds of years here, and a contrast to the busy days in the medinas and markets.
Anyone who wishes can try it on the eighth day, after a walk through historic Marrakech.

Day 1
Casablanca
Arrival and a first evening by the ocean
Your guide meets you at Casablanca airport and takes you to the Royal Mansour. Until the evening, you can rest or stroll down to the ocean. Over a welcome dinner, the group gets to know each other and hears how the journey through four cities will unfold.

Day 2
Volubilis and Fez
Ancient ruins and your first medina
On the way to Fez, we stop at ancient Volubilis: columns, a triumphal arch and Roman mosaics under the open sky. Towards evening, porters meet the group at the gates of the medina and lead the way to the riad. After the dusty streets, the quiet of its inner courtyard is the real wow of the day.
The tanneries of Fez
Day 3
The cultural heart of Fez
The medina, tanneries and old shops
A whole day in the Fez medina, the largest car-free maze in the world. Your guide shows you the Chouara tanneries from a terrace above, the ancient al-Qarawiyyin university and shops selling spices, leather and metalwork. In the evening, dinner on a rooftop as the sun sets over the city.
The blue streets of Chefchaouen
Day 4

The road to the blue city
A winding mountain road leads to Chefchaouen, a town painted in every shade of blue. After check-in, your first walk through its blue lanes in the soft light of sunset. In the evening, dinner and long conversations on the terrace.

The Yves Saint Laurent aesthetic
Bacha Coffee, the Majorelle Garden, Jemaa el-Fnaa
The morning begins at Bacha Coffee in the Dar El Bacha palace, where there are more than two hundred kinds of coffee. In the afternoon, the Majorelle Garden and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum.
